School

Well I am back in Victoria and I have a million assignments to get done at school, all of them writing and design related, so the photography will probably have to take a back seat for a couple weeks until I can get them all done. A Victoria Firefighter stabalizes a driver after his car was t-boned at approximately 1 PM in the 600 block of Government St Friday afternoon. Victoria FD used the jaws of life to rip the door off of his car after he had attempted to make a U-turn on the busy Victoria street. Both drivers were taken to Victoria General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Photo by Brett Beadle

Playoff Flames Hockey

This was the best shot I had from Friday night's game . This guy is amazing, if only the Canucks could pick up a goalie that could make a save or two (and make it look this pretty.)

Got the Job!!!

Well after sitting down for lunch yesterday with Peter and Deb, they told me I got the summer internship at the Herald. WOW! What a monkey off my back, summer is going to be awesome. Stampeders CFL Football, Calgary Stampede, and everything else that goes along with summer in Calgary. Back to Vancouver to tomorrow then Victoria on Sunday. It will be good to get back to the West Coast and see everyone back at school, but I'm sure I'll be itching to get back here once I get back to Victoria.

Me goofin off in between assignments , some nearby dog-walkers gave me some strange looks but I was too happy to care.Calgary, AB-20060420-Wendy Arnett from Madison & Page supplies all kinds of pens, some of which are more practical than the one seen here. Photo by Brett Beadle/Calgary Herald

I love the Saddledome!!

Here is another update from today. 800 ISO, 500th @ 2.8!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a dream!

Here are the shots, first one which ran front page on the Herald Sports, although cropped a little tigher. There were about 10 shooters there, I chose down below, which had tiny holes in the glass to shoot from, but I think the shots worked out.

Another update tomorrow.

Cheers,
Brett
